Claire & Dan’s Wedding at The Canary Shed – A Festival of Love, Laughter & Four-Legged Stars

Back in July, I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Claire and Dan’s wedding at the Canary Shed in Burnham-on-Crouch, Essex. I had been really looking forward to this wedding as I new The Canary Shed and surrounding grounds would be fantastic.

From start to finish the day was bursting with joy, colour, and unforgettable moments. Claire and Dan are such a fantastic couple, and their family and friends brought so much warmth and energy to the celebration.

One of the stars of the day was Hank the Dog, who charmed everyone with his presence. But the real showstopper? Claire’s beautiful horse, Smartie, who arrived looking majestic and stole the spotlight during the photos. Smartie was decorated so beautifully – it was like something out of a fairytale. This was a photographers dream so I certainly made the most of every photo opportunity knowing that Claire and Dan would love the photos.

The whole day had a real summer festival vibe. Think marshmallows toasted around the fire, vibrant coloured smoke adding drama to the photos, and laughter echoing across the countryside. The Canary Shed itself is a dream venue – surrounded by rolling fields and vineyards, it gave us endless backdrops for stunning, natural photos.

A huge shoutout to Jade, the wedding coordinator, who ran the day like clockwork. Her calm and friendly presence made everything flow seamlessly, allowing Claire and Dan to truly relax and enjoy every moment.

To Claire and Dan – thank you so much for booking me as your Essex wedding photographer and letting me be part of your incredible day. It was an honour to capture your love story, and I’m so grateful to have been there to witness all the magic.
