I recently met Adam and Mandi at Blake Hall in the beautiful Essex countryside to run through some of the plans ahead of their wedding next year and at the same time capture some engagement photographs for them. Blake Hall is a beautiful venue and offers so many photographic opportunities, Mandi was keen to get some photographs in the rose garden and no shoot at Blake Hall would be complete without an image on the swing.

Where to Have an Engagement Shoot

I often photograph engagement shoots for my couples at their chosen wedding venue as its nice for them to see where their actual wedding photographs will be captured. They don’t have to be though, you can have your engagement shoots anywhere that’s special to you. It could be on the beach, at a nice country park, I have even captured them with pets including horses. We will often discuss ideas during the initial consultation and its always nice to hear my couple’s stories and come up with something really unique to them. Mandi and Adam’s wedding isn’t until October 2020 but its always good to start planning early and the great thing about the engagement shoot is they can use the images for their save the date cards or invitations.
