Jemma and Adams Engagement shoot at Paper Mill Lock

I recently had the pleasure of photographing a Paper Mill Lock Engagement Shoot for Jemma and Adam at the beautiful location in Little Baddow, Essex. I met Jemma and Adam at the Paper Mill Lock tea rooms at 09:00 one Sunday morning in August 2018, we decided to start early to avoid the crowds. Paper Mill Lock offers a bit of everything from a photography point of view, you have the lock gates, the weir, beautiful gates as well as plenty of open countryside. Definitely worth a visit and well worth considering if you are looking for an Essex engagement shoot location.

The river that runs through Paper Mill Lock runs from Chelmsford through to Heybridge Basin stretching for 14 miles of fantastic waterway. There is a fantastic tea room there to refuel before continuing a walk along the river.

Engagement shoots are a great way to have a bit of a practice run at being in front of the camera before your wedding day, it gives you an opportunity to get some great shots without any time restraints and the perfect opportunity to try out new things.
