Amy and Tim’s Wedding at The Essex Barn on The Channels Estate

As a Channels Wedding photographer, It’s always nice to work at this stunning Chelmsford Wedding venue.

A really enjoyable day photographing the wedding of Amy and Tim at the amazing Essex wedding venue The Essex Barn,  at Channels Golf Club.

The Wedding Ceremony was held at All Saints Church in Maldon which is a very scenic Church in the quaint market town,  where we captured the ceremony before heading off to the reception. I was instructed by Tim that his pride and joy Mini Marcos car needed to feature in the images. It’s the first time I had come across a Mini Marcos, and it being a small car there was some doubt if Amy’s dress would fit in it ok but it did!  I love it when couples have something unique to their day as it allows for some great photographs to be captured.

The Essex Barn is a beautifully restored 17th-century barn on the Channels estate just outside Chelmsford in Essex. Channels is a spacious venue offering excellent backdrops for photography and is a pleasure to photograph a wedding there.

We were slightly hampered by the weather but we didn’t let that stop us getting outside and getting some great images. I pulled out the big strobe off-camera lighting for some of the couple shots. I use battery-powered studio lights to give the couple portraits that extra punch but balanced with the available natural light.
