I was very fortunate to get the opportunity to photograph the wedding of Pip and Tali at the stunning Surrey Wedding venue “Botleys Mansion”. This is truly a spectacular Surrey wedding venue and an absolute please to photograph Pip and Talia’s wedding there.
Last Minute Change of Venue
Pip and Tali had been scheduled to tie the knot at nearby venue Clandon Park but it was struck down by a fire that ripped through the building just a few weeks before their wedding day. Just when it was looking like a disaster, they found that Botleys mansion was available so it was a mad rush to redirect everything to the new Venue.
I had joined the couple at Clandon Park literally a week before the fire to work out all the best shooting locations so it came as a bit of a shock to switch on the news and see the grand national trust building in flames.
I arrived at Botleys Mansion on the day of the wedding to be met with torrential rain and it was starting to look like we would be doing a lot of the photography inside however as the day unfolded the weather got better and better and turned into a wonderful sunny afternoon and evening.
Pip and Tali did a fantastic job in the planning and delivery of their lavish celebration. Pip worked extremely hard setting up all the tables before getting ready himself. The table layouts looked amazing and were set up to the theme of west end musicals.
Botleys Mansion is a fantastic wedding venue set back from the road with access via a long access road giving spectacular views of the building. There is a beautiful water fountain to the front of the building giving an interesting addition to the photographs. If you are looking for a venue with plenty of grandeur and space and would like to get married in Surrey, I’d recommend checking this venue out.
