Wedding Photography at Vaulty Manor

It was an absolute pleasure to photograph Annie and Will’s twilight wedding at the beautiful Vaulty Manor. Wedding photography at Vaulty manor is always a joy as it is such a beautiful venue and this one being in November had a lovely wintery feel to it.

Annie had gone for a classic hairstyle created perfectly by the very talented Jemma, from Jemma’s hair and makeup, I have worked with Jemma on many weddings and would highly recommend getting in touch with her if you are looking for a hair and makeup artist.

Twighlight Wedding Photography at Vaulty Manor

Being a twilight wedding I was prepared to have limited light available especially as the ceremony wasn’t until 3.30pm, this isn’t a problem, but as I knew the couple wanted some daylight photographs I worked efficiently to get all the guests outside for the confetti walk and the big group shots so I would have enough time to take the couple off for some portraits around the stunning venue.

Using Off-Camera Flash at Weddings

When it comes to capturing some creative night shots you don’t need to worry about time at all, there are many photographs you can do in pitch black. Annie and Will were up for a few of these shots so it was great to get back outside after the first dance to get creative with off-camera flash.

Off-camera flash is the name given to using remotely triggered lights to create various effects. If you book me as your wedding photographer you will see I use them frequently throughout the day to add in extra light where needed and to get some directional light for shots such as the first dance.
